Within a section, you can add a **Container** or **Columns** to refine the layout, then use **Dividers** as needed to separate different sections. You also have the option to drag-and-drop elements directly onto the page as you see fit.   ### Text blocks Text elements are used for adding headings, paragraphs, and links to your page. There are 7 text styles to choose from: - Text (paragraph) - Headings (H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6) ![](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/36919364046615) To add text, simply drag and drop a text element from the left panel onto your canvas, placing it inside a section.  Heading elements H1, H2, and H3 also automatically generate anchor IDs when published, making it easy to link directly to a specific section of a page. Headings that are available as anchor tags will appear in the link selector on the **Anchors** tab for links in your Navbar or any other link elements. ![Screen Shot 2026-06-03 at 12.16.43 PM.png](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/40944549619607) ### Conversion blocks Once you’ve set up a section, container, or column, you can add conversion options to drive users to subscribe or upgrade.  ![Customizing WB.02.png](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/36930896736663) Available conversion options include: - **Subscribe form**: A static subscribe form that appears directly on the page. - **Email capture popup**: A popup that appears on the page as users scroll down, asking them to subscribe. - **Full gate popup**: A popup that blocks all content on the page and asks users to subscribe. You can choose to show this to non-subscribers, free subscribers, or paid subscribers who aren’t on a specific paid tier. ### Synced data blocks Once you’ve set up a section, container, or column, you can add various options that are automatically synced to data within your publication.  ![Customizing WB.03.png](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/36930896738199) Available synced options include: - Post - [Authors](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/36024917357975) - [Tags](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/35382110798871) - [Socials](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12244849554071) - Recommendations - Testimonials - [Pricing Cards](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/35997629652247) - [Products](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/36476805216535) > **Tech Note** > > To add, change, or remove the thumbnail for an individual post, you’ll need to open the post in the Post Builder. These pages are not designed with static blocks, each dynamic page is powered by a specific block that determines what content is displayed. Dynamic pages available in the Website Builder include: - **Post page:** Displays the web version of an individual newsletter post. - [**Tag page**](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/35382110798871-using-content-tags-on-your-website)**:** Displays all posts associated with a single content tag. - [**Author page**](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/36024917357975-featuring-authors-on-your-website)**:** Displays all posts attributed to a specific author. Authors must be added as team members and assigned to at least one post published to the web to appear. - [**Survey page**](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/33699539470615-using-pages-in-the-website-builder)**:** Displays a selected [survey from your publication](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/21900901004311-how-to-create-and-use-beehiiv-surveys). - [**Product page**](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/36476805216535-adding-digital-products-to-your-site) (paid plans): Displays a specific digital product available for purchase on your website. > **Tech Note** > > If content isn't appearing on a dynamic page, verify that the underlying data exists — published posts with the relevant tags, authors assigned to published posts, and so on. For help connecting your content to blocks, see[Swapping website placeholder data for your own content](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/34055524289687-swapping-website-placeholder-data-for-your-own-content). > > For a full overview of all page types, including default and custom pages, see[Using pages in the Website Builder](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/33699539470615-using-pages-in-the-website-builder). --- ## Publishing your changes and syncing content The Website Builder distinguishes between the design you're working on in the editor and what appears on your live, published site. Understanding how to preview, publish, and sync your content ensures your site displays correctly for visitors. For more details see: [How to publish your website](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/34055410040727-how-to-publish-your-website). ### Preview vs. publish - **Preview:** Click **Preview** in the bottom toolbar to see how your site will look before making it live. Preview mode shows your current design but may not reflect the final published appearance if placeholder data is enabled. - **Publish:** Click the **Publish** button in the top-right corner to access publishing options. You can publish the current page only or all pages at once. > **Reminder** > > Changes made in the Website Builder are not visible on your live site until you publish them. ---
