Managing your direct sponsorship partners
Direct sponsorships give you a streamlined way to manage newsletter sponsorships and book ads directly with advertisers — all from within your beehiiv account.
This article covers how to add advertiser contacts to your account and manage your sponsorship partners. Once a partner is added as a contact, you can send them a customized proposal for a direct sponsorship.

Reminder: To use any monetization features in beehiiv — including direct sponsorships — you’ll first need to complete Stripe Identity Verification. Once verified, you’ll be able to link your bank account to the beehiiv Wallet and get paid. For more info, check out our guide on Stripe account types.
How to manually add a sponsorship partner
In addition to automatically receiving partner info from storefront requests, you can also add sponsorship partners manually. This is helpful if you’ve already been in contact with an advertiser or want to send a custom proposal directly from your dashboard.
- From the left panel dashboard, go to Monetize > Ads.
- Under Direct Sponsorships, click Partners.
- Click on the New partner button.
- A New partner form will open for you to fill out with your partner details. All fields are internal and not visible to sponsors.
- Enter the Partner name and a brief Description.
- Add the partner’s Website link.
- (Optional) Upload a Logo by clicking browse or upload.
Pro Tip: For best results, we recommend using a square logo size of 800 × 800 px. - Add a Contact name and Contact email address.
- When finished, click Create to save your new partner.
- Your new partner will now appear in the list on your Partners page.
Ways to manage your sponsorship partners
The Partners page is your central hub for managing all of your direct sponsorship advertisers and contacts. It gives you visibility into each partner’s history, including sponsorship activity and revenue, so you can make informed decisions about your monetization strategy.
Use the Search bar at the top to find a specific partner, or use the dropdown menu to filter between Active and Archived partners.
Below the search bar, you’ll see a table with your partner list, including their primary contact info, number of completed sponsorships, and total revenue earned.
Click the 3 dots icon next to a partner to access options to View details, Edit partner, or Archive partner.
When you click View details, you'll be taken to that partner's dedicated page, where you can review more details like their profile, past proposals, and contact information.
To add another contact for a sponsor, click + New Contact below the company’s contact section. A sidebar will appear for you to enter the new contact's details. You can toggle on Primary contact if you'd like to set them as the default when sending proposals.
In the upper-right corner of the partner page, click the 3 dots icon to access options to Edit details or Archive the partner.
If you select Edit partner (from either the Partners page or partner-specific view), a sidebar will open to update the information you originally entered. Click Update to save your changes.
If you choose to Archive a partner, they’ll be moved out of your Active view. Switch to the Archived filter to find them again. To reactivate an archived partner, click the 3 dots icon and select Unarchive partner.
