Displaying beehiiv skills on your LinkedIn profile

LinkedIn's Connected Accounts feature lets you display skills and capabilities from third-party apps directly on your LinkedIn profile. By connecting beehiiv, you can showcase your newsletter expertise alongside the rest of your professional experience. 

You'll need: 

• A LinkedIn account. 
• An active beehiiv workspace.

Step 1: Open your LinkedIn Connected Accounts

1. Navigate to your LinkedIn profile and scroll down below the Education section to find Connected Accounts. If you don't see it, you can access it directly at: linkedin.com/in/YOUR-USERNAME/details/connected-accounts 
   
   Then, select beehiiv. 
   
   
   
2. You may be prompted to log back in. Enter your account details and sign back in. 
   
   
   
3. You’ll be asked to verify the connection with beehiiv, and agree to beehiiv using your name and photo, and sharing your activity, achievements, and contributions on your LinkedIn profile. If you agree, click Allow to be redirected back to beehiiv. 
   
   
   

Step 2: Select skills from the beehiiv app

1. Go to the beehiiv LinkedIn application page and select the LinkedIn skill you want to display on your profile. Any skills that you have unlocked will be available for you to add. Once you’ve added your selection, click on Save selection. 
   
   

   
   Tech Note: You can only add one skill to your profile at a time.
2. If you think that you qualify for a skill, but you don’t see it appear yet, click on Recalculate. If you are eligible for that skill, it will now be unlocked for you. 
   
   
   
3. Or, to reset the skills that shows up on your page, click Reset to remove the skill you selected and reselect from the beginning. 
   
   
   

Step 3: Confirm the skills appear on your profile

1. Return to your LinkedIn profile and scroll down. Under Education, you should see a Connected apps section. 
   
   
   
2. Here, you should see the skill that you selected. Click on the beehiiv connected app box. 
   
   
   
3. A modal will pop up detailing your skill and letting any profile visitors know it's based on a summary of your beehiiv account activity, giving you the credibility to back up your expertise.
   
   
   

Skills are calculated automatically based on your activity across all publications you have access to. Once unlocked, they only ever advance; they never downgrade. You can trigger a manual recalculation at any time from the LinkedIn settings page by clicking Recalculate. 

There are five skill categories, each with multiple levels. Higher levels unlock as your activity increases.

Based on the number of posts you've sent in the last 6 months.

Based on your post template count and custom page count.

Based on which combination of growth tools you have active.

Based on which combination of revenue tools you have active.

Power User is a meta-skill that reflects broad mastery across all four categories above. Your Power User level equals the lowest level you've reached across Content, Design, Growth, and Monetization — capped at 3. If any category is at level 0, Power User is not available.
