# Monetizing your newsletter with paid outgoing recommendations

Paid recommendations let you earn revenue by recommending other publications to your new subscribers. For each verified subscriber you send their way, you're paid a set amount with no extra setup beyond your signup flow.

> If you've used Monetize Boosts before, it has been renamed to paid recommendations and moved to **Grow** > **Recommendations** > [**Outgoing recommendations**](https://app.beehiiv.com/recommendations). Email Boosts and Direct Links have been retired.

## Before you get started

To participate in paid recommendations, you must complete [Stripe Identity Verification](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12889886149655) and link your bank account using a [Stripe Express account](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/30065237532823). Earnings are managed in your [beehiiv Wallet](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/14194157250583).

## Discover and apply to paid offers

1.  From the left panel dashboard, go to [**Recommendations**](https://app.beehiiv.com/recommendations). Recommendations will open on the Outgoing **Overview** tab, and show an overview of how your Outgoing paid recommendations are performing. Click on **Discover publications** to browse available paid offers.

2.  A modal displaying available offers will open. At the top, filter the offers by **Category**, **Language**, **Size**, **Last posted**, **Audience location**, and **CPA**. Use the last option to filter by only paid offers.

3.  For each offer, you'll see key details including payout per subscriber, categories, audience summary, posting activity, and any subscriber country restrictions. When you’ve found an offer that aligns with your monetization strategy, click on **Recommend for $x.xx/subscriber**.

4.  A modal will appear with even more details about the publication to make sure that you’re a good fit. At the bottom of the modal, you can share a personal message (recommended) with context about you and your publication. Click on **Submit application** when ready.

    >
    > beehiiv shares approximate insights about your newsletter (size, engagement, growth rate) with the publication to help them make an informed decision. Exact numbers are not disclosed.
    
5.  Once your application is accepted, you'll receive an in-app notification and an email confirmation. The publication will then appear in your **Outgoing recommendations** > [**Overview**](https://app.beehiiv.com/recommendations/incoming) as an active paid partner.
