--- title: "Setting up the Events tab in your community" updated: 2026-07-16 --- # Setting up the Events tab in your community > **Community Beta Disclaimer** > > The community feature is launching in a beta state, available to all [paid beehiiv plans](https://www.beehiiv.com/pricing). During this time, we will be prioritizing user feedback and making frequent updates that may cause some images or details in this article to differ slightly from what you see in the app. Bring your events in so members can see what's coming up, all from one place: your community. beehiiv currently supports showcasing your community events via Luma. If you already run events on Luma, setup takes about a minute and nothing needs to be rebuilt. --- ## Before you begin - You need a [Luma account](https://luma.com/) with a calendar. - **Your Luma calendar must be public** for members to see it. > **Tech Note** > > The Events tab supports **calendar** embeds (your full calendar of upcoming events), not single-event embeds. --- ## Step 1: Get your Luma embed code 1. Go to [Luma](https://luma.com/) and sign in to your account. 2. Click your calendar name in the left sidebar. 3. Go to **Calendar Settings → Embed.** 4. Copy the embed code Luma provides. --- ## Step 2: Add your calendar to the community 1. In your beehiiv dashboard, open **Community** from the left navigation, then select **Events.** 2. Under **Your Luma calendar**, paste the embed code from Luma into the **Luma embed code** field. 3. Save. Your calendar is now connected. 4. Switch on **Show Events in your community.** This adds an Events tab to your community navigation; members see it once a calendar is added. > **Tech Note** > > beehiiv validates what you paste. If you see an error, check that you copied the full iframe embed from Luma's Embed option, that it points to Luma, and that it's the **calendar** embed rather than a single event. --- ## What members see Members get an **Events** tab in the community navigation showing your upcoming events with dates, details, and registration, right inside the community. Registration itself happens through Luma. You can hide the tab at any time by switching off **Show Events in your community.** Your saved calendar stays connected, so turning it back on is one click. --- ## Make events part of your rhythm Communities with a recurring event (office hours, a monthly AMA, a co-working session) give members a reason to come back on a schedule.
