Managing your community notifications as a member

Community Beta Disclaimer: The community feature is launching in a beta state. During this time, we will be prioritizing user feedback and making frequent updates that may cause some images or details in this article to differ slightly from what you see in the app. For any questions, reach out to your community owner.

Notifications keep you in the conversation without living in the feed: replies to your comments, comments on your posts, reactions, new followers, and messages.

The bell icon

The Notifications bell in the sidebar shows your unread count. Select it to open your notifications page.

Your notifications page

  • Filter by All, Unread, or Archived, and sort by Recent or Oldest.
  • Mark all as read clears the counter in one click.
  • Each notification has its own actions: mark as read (or unread), and Archive to tidy it away.

You'll be notified about activity on your content (comments, replies, reactions), people following you, new posts in your channels, and new messages.

Email notifications

Some activity also reaches your inbox, so you don't miss things between visits. Direct messages arrive promptly, and bursts of activity (a popular post collecting replies and reactions) get bundled into digest emails rather than one email per event.

Push notifications

Using the community as an app on your phone? Turn on Push notifications in your member Settings to get notified about activity on that device. You can also enable them from the prompt when you install the app. See Setting up the mobile app for your community membership for more information.
